How much does a private boat tour near Interlaken cost?
Private charters start at CHF 850 for one hour for up to 4 guests in summer, captain and fuel included. Hosted cruises with Moët & Chandon and Swiss cheese start at CHF 1,500. Full-day charters of up to 8 hours are available, and groups of 9 to 12 are quoted on request.
Where does the boat leave from?
From Merligen, on the north shore of Lake Thun, about 20 minutes from Interlaken by car or taxi. The exact meeting point and directions are sent with every booking.
Can we swim during the tour?
Yes, on cruises of two hours or more. We anchor away from the beaches and you swim off the back of the boat using the ladder, in suitable conditions.
What happens if it rains?
Tours go ahead in rain or cloud, as the boat has a full soft-top cover and side windows. If there is a storm warning or the captain judges conditions unsafe, the tour is cancelled and fully refunded.
Are children and babies welcome?
Very welcome. There are life jackets for all ages, strollers fit on board, and Chris regularly hosts families with young children.
